- High resistance to corrosion. IPT 316L is also supplied with high molybdenum, minium 2.5%.
- Good weldability
- Good resistance to organic acids at high concentrations and moderate temperatures
- Good resistance to inorganic acids, e.g. phosphoric and sulphuric acids, at moderate concentrations and temperatures. IPT 316L can also be used in sulphuric acid of concentrations above 90% at low temperature.
- Good resistance to salt solutions, e.g. sulphates, sulphides and sulphites
- Good resistance in caustic environments
- High quality, consistent from delivery to delivery.
- A wide variety of sizes and grades available
